White intends to take over Average Joes, and Peters non existent bookkeeping is making it all too easy for him. The facilitys ecclectic clientele of decidedly less-than-average Joes is comprised of: a self styled pirate a scrawny nerd who dreams of impressing an unattainable cheerleader an obsessive aficionado of obscure sports a dim-witted young man and a cocky know it all who, of course, really knows nothing.Peter's humble gym catches the eye of White Goodman (Ben Stiller), the power-mullet-sporting, Fu Manchu'd, egomaniacal owner of Globo Gym, a gleaming monolith of fitness. It also has some cameos from: Chuck Norris, William Shatner, David Hasselhoff, and Lance Armstrong.Peter La Fleur (Vince Vaughn) is a charismatic underachiever and proprietor of a rundown gym called Average Joes. The cast includes: Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Alan Tudyk, Justin Long, and Rip Torn. ![]() They also find ou t that Globo Gym is also in the Dodgeball Tournament, who they must beat in order to win the Tournament. They also come across a man who is willing to coach them, Patches (Rip Torn), who isn't normal by any means. In 2004, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story entered our lives, combining the comedic talents of Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller, along with many other comedians. The remaining clients of Average Joe's try to think of a way to raise $50,000 within the time limit, and they decide that they'll play in the Dodgeball Tournament which has a winning grand prize of $50,000. The attorney tells Peter that if he doesn't pay $50,000 within 30 days that Average Joe's will be sold to White. White Goodman (Stiller), who owns Globo Gym, tries taking over Average Joe's by hiring an attorney. His gym has been losing clients since Globo Gym opened across the street. The movie starts out with Peter (Vaughn) who owns Average Joe's gym, which is a bit decrepit. ![]() This is one of my all time favorite movies. Rawson Marshall Thurber's debut feature is a highly assured work, which features hilarious cameos from Chuck Norris, Lance Armstrong, David Hasselhoff, and William Shatner. The Zoolander sequel was released in theaters 15 years after the beloved original and. As Peter and his ragtag team make their way to the championship in Las Vegas, they must contend with White, who has assembled a team of his very own. Stiller might be apprehensive about taking on Dodgeball 2 after he struck out hard with Zoolander 2. Fortunately for Peter, he finds a coach for his team: the hardheaded, ex-superstar Patches O'Houlihan (Rip Torn). Potential salvation arrives in the form of a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament, but conquering a sport one hasn't played in several decades isn't such an easy feat. La Fleur learns from a beautiful attorney (Christine Taylor) that if he doesn't come up with $50,000 in 30 days, his career running a gym will be over. White Goodman (Stiller), Globo Gym's main spokesman, is a preposterously vain egomaniac on the cusp of taking over La Fleur's failing business. Peter La Fleur (Vaughn) owns the decrepit Average Joe's gym, which has been losing its clients ever since the glitzy Globo Gym opened up across the street. While hilariously satirizing modern-day gym culture, the film also celebrates a sport that has previously been relegated to the elementary school playground. In DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn team up once again (following STARSKY & HUTCH) for another comic romp. ![]()
